The Journey of Lalbagh Sports Carnival
Inspiring the Next Generation of Champions, Transforming Lives Through Sports, Year by Year.
Our Vision: “Let’s Bring Back Students to Sports Again”
The Lalbagh Sports Carnival, led by the Lions Club of Dhaka Lalbagh and founded by Ln. Mizanul Haque Prince, stands as a beacon of hope to reignite the love for sports among students in Bangladesh.

The Struggle Behind the Vision
A Leader’s Relentless Commitment
Ln. Mizanul Haque Prince’s vision was born out of his passion for holistic student development. He saw a troubling reality—students were increasingly consumed by academics, leaving no time for sports. Determined to change this, he began offering free training sessions on time management and goal setting, inspiring students to embrace sports as a tool for personal growth.
To further this mission, Prince established YouYouth, a training organization that equips students with life skills while promoting sports as an integral part of their lives.
The Birth of a Movement
In 2018, Prince launched the YouYouth Olympic, a landmark event with over 8,500 students invited to participate in 15 sports disciplines. Despite only 2,000 students participating, the event proved a turning point, highlighting the need to reintroduce sports into students’ routines.
This inspired the creation of the “Let’s Bring Back Students to Sports Again” campaign—a call to action for schools, parents, and communities.

Overcoming Challenges with Determination
The journey wasn’t without obstacles. After the International Olympic Committee (IOC) objected to the use of “Olympic” in the event’s name, Prince promptly complied, gaining respect and recognition for his integrity.
Though local authorities declined to assist further, Prince’s resolve remained unshaken. Through social media and global connections, he expanded his campaign, partnering with inspiring figures like Mitch Lyons from the USA, who shared his mission of transforming lives through sports.
A Triumph of Passion and Persistence
The first season of the Lalbagh Sports Carnival, held in Saidpur, was a groundbreaking success, bringing together:

Different Sports
This victory set the stage for the 2025 Dhaka Carnival, which promises to unite students, sports enthusiasts, and leaders to create an even larger impact.

The Road Ahead
Today, the Lalbagh Sports Carnival isn’t just an event—it’s a movement. With unwavering efforts from Mizanul Haque Prince, Mitch Lyons, and countless supporters worldwide, the campaign inspires youth to embrace sports for physical, mental, and emotional growth.
